這對夫妻打開全鎮最破爛的一道門，進入全鎮最破爛的一間屋子。同時，那也是距離鎮中心最邊緣、最接近黑流蘇之丘的一間屋子。那屋子非常的狹小，客廳只有一張扶手椅和一個老舊的儲物櫃，牆上沒有掛任何東西，轉身就是簡陋的廚房和餐桌，藏在一片布簾後面的是胖太太和丈夫睡覺的地方。一個角落有一只大鳥籠，裡面…沒有鳥。
